Privacy policy

Data controller: David Pivert, publisher of the site (contact@maeta-vibes.com). Maeta Vibes does not sell or share your data, shows no advertising and does not measure its audience with cookies.

Comments

Data: name, email address (never displayed), website if provided, comment text, date, a non-reversible fingerprint of the IP address, and the browser used.
Why: to publish and moderate comments and to limit spam and abuse. An automated analysis of the text (Cloudflare Workers AI) helps spot abusive content; the publisher receives each new comment by email.
Legal basis: legitimate interest in allowing and moderating discussions (GDPR article 6(1)(f)).
Retention: as long as the comment is online. It is deleted on request.

Reactions to comments only store a non-reversible fingerprint, so that each person counts once.

Contact form

Data: name, email address, subject and message sent from the About page.
Why: to reply to you and handle takedown requests.
Legal basis: legitimate interest in answering requests (GDPR article 6(1)(f)).
Retention: as long as needed to handle your request and follow it up. You can ask for them to be deleted at any time.

Technical logs

On each visit, the host Cloudflare records the IP address, browser, approximate location (country, city) and requested page, without search parameters. These logs are used for site security and error diagnosis (legitimate interest). They are kept for 7 days.

Audience measurement

The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which produces aggregate statistics without cookies or personal identifiers.

Cookies

locale: remembers your language (French or English) when you switch languages, for 1 year. Needed for the service, it does not require consent.
A session cookie is used only by signed-in administrators.

Embedded content

Some pages embed content from third-party platforms. YouTube videos (in privacy-enhanced mode) and Instagram posts in articles load when displayed; Spotify and SoundCloud players and Instagram videos only load after a click. Once loaded, the platform receives your IP address and may set its own cookies under its own policy: YouTube (Google), Instagram (Meta), Spotify, SoundCloud.

Recipients and hosting

Only the publisher has access to your data. It is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. (database located in Western Europe), which also sends the emails and analyses the comments. Cloudflare participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Notification and contact emails arrive in the publisher's mailbox, hosted by Google.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, erase, restrict or port your data, and object to its processing, by writing to contact@maeta-vibes.com. We reply within one month. You can also lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority.
